So it's official: Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are married. The couple wed in a ceremony on 22n November 2015 and fans had a front row seat with Vergara posting up to the minute pictures on her Instagram account. This posed the question in our office: Would you want to keep your friends who were unable to attend your big day updated with hundreds of Facebook, Twitter or Instagram posts?
It's our opinion that there needs to be a level of privacy and intimacy associated with such a sacred event. Whilst it might be nice to pop a picture on your social streams, we'd suggest you just pick one or two for the day rather than posting hundreds of amateur pictures:
- Keep the day focused on your marriage, not social media;
- Don't spoil the real look and feel of the day by sharing amateur photography;
- Get in before your friends with some pro pictures.
Celebrity weddings for stars like Sofia (who's wedding we talk more about below!) come equipped with an entourage of social media experts tracking their day and posting professional pictures. If you are super keen to give your social media fans a live glimpse of your big day, we'd suggest you ask your photographer in advance if they could post a few gorgeous images on your social media for you through the day/night. We know of plenty of photographers who will be happy to do just that if they have a few photographers working the event. They are usually super keen to share their lovely work with all your friends too -you'll just need to make sure you are all connected before the event.
If they can't post on social media or have limited resources, ask them to send 2-3 images on the day to a trusted friend and have them upload them into your Instagram account and/or put it in a shared #hashtag stream. Maybe ask your guests to post their photos into a private #hashtag feed so that only guests can see the images, not the general public.
Either way, try not to get distracted by this yourselves. Enjoy your day and don't worry about what the world outside thinks of you. You'll have plenty of time to get your professional pictures up and loaded for all your friends to see!

As for this gorgeous wedding, the couple exchanged vows in Palm Beach, Fla., amongst the rich and famous. The romantic reception was held at The Breakers' ballroom with the first dance being to Frank Sinatra's 1964 cover of "The Way You Look Tonight."
Guests included Channing Tatum, Sarah Hyland, Julie Bowen and Reese Withersponon. The decor was spectacular with a sea of flowers and decorations by famous celebrity stylist Jeff Leatham (who has made a few trips to Australia recently!)
Music ranged from Michael Jackson to Shakira before they had a live performance by Pitbull for 45-minutes.
Sofia wore an elegant gown by Zuhair Murad which reportedly took 1,657 hours to make! It was made from a stunning silk tulle, hand-embroidered with a detachable skirt.
